Research Facility

The research facility is where you sink your hard earned cash down a bottomless pit, never to be seen again. The research facility is without question the most expensive facility in the game, but it is also absolutely vital for advanced teams.

The research department allows you to invest money into five separate areas, Chassis Research, Engine Research, Design Department Research, Technical Department Research and Commercial department research.
This allows these departments to function at above 100%, up-to a maximum of 200%. There are ten levels of research for each area, each level corresponding to a 10% increase. So if for example you have reached level 5 in Chassis research, you can build chassis with attributes upto 150% (note that you still have to build the chassis, it will not affect your current chassis).

Note that for departments with a tangible output, the chassis, engine and commercial departments, the maximum potential output is increased, not the speed of upgrades, e.g. It will still take the same amount of time to gain new sponsors, but the cash yielded will be increased. Money put into the research facility is immediately taken from your funds, although it will take some time for it to filter through into visible results. How much time is determined by the quality of your Research Facility.
