Private Leagues

A private league is a GP Manager Pro league that is set up by friends, colleagues, or even players who fancy a grudge match. Unlike the standard games, you do-not progress up the leagues, instead, you stay in the same league year after year, and race the same opponents! As the league is totally isolated it gives a more realistic feel, and some interesting tactics to the game play.

How to create a Private League

If a Private League 'Game' is running, you will be able to go to the Game Selection screen and click the 'Join Game' button. Once you've created your team as usual, you will be given the opportunity to either create a new private league, or join an existing one. If you know of an existing league you want to join, simply enter the league name and password here, otherwise you can create your own in the same fashion.

Drivers

Drivers work differently on a private league game than in a standard game of GP Manager Pro. On a private league game, you may only sign drivers who are part of your private league, you may not sign drivers from other racing leagues. Additionally, your 'young drivers' will be considered part of your league, and will not be able and swan off join teams from other leagues. The intent of this rule is to produce an isolated game environment so players only have to worry about playing against those within their league.

Engines

In an effort to maintain a fair and isolated playing field, you will not be able to sell your engines to other teams outside of your private league. However, you can still manufacture and sell your own engines to teams within your private league.

Tyre Companies

Please note that in an effort to maintain an isolated playing field, Tyre companies are not available as a second company option within private leagues.

The League table and rankings

The general rankings are not available in Private leagues as they are irrelevant, all leagues start at different times and can be reset by the owner, so it isn't fair to compare teams in different leagues. However, you are ranked against the other members of your league. Go to Communications -> League to see how well you're doing against the others in your league. Why not come up with some targets? Leader after 8 seasons wins? Or just keep playing for the fun of it! It's your playground, so your rules.

PRO Accounts in the Private League Game

In the Private League Game, everyone is considered 'Pro', and has all the advantages given to a 'PRO' account. This is intended to level the playing field. the Private League Game is the place to show who really is the best!

Resetting the Private League Game

The League owner can reset the league at any time. This will reset everyone's accounts as well as the driver pool, and everyone will start from day 0 again. This functionality is not open to protest to the Game's staff, nor can it be reversed once done.

Limitations

One league at a time: Unfortunately, due to constraints on the GPMP database structure, you can only join one private league.

Maximum 20 players per league: The maximum players you can have in one league at any time is 20. This has been extended greatly from the standard version in order to facilitate larger groups of players. It is recommended that for maximum enjoyment a figure of 10-12 players per league should not be exceeded.
