Component Selection

This screen allows you to choose which components to fit in your car. In each component you may choose from your own custom built components or use your chassis supplier. You can mix different components between the two without penalty.

At the top of the screen the Overall chassis status is shown. This gives an overview of the car. There are a couple of things to note here - Firstly, weight; more is less. Keep in mind that the star ratings of your chassis and components are related to quality not quantity. As such, the lighter your car & components are, the more stars you get. Keep a look at the 'actual weight' of your car, if your weight drops below the min weight (600kg) you won't improve your laptime by further improving your components weight.
The second thing to note is the Car stability. This is a measure of the quality distribution of your chassis - put simply, if you have a great rear wing but a medoicre front wing your cars stability will suffer. The importance of this factor varies from track to track (and is indicated on the Race Weekend page.
